Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of SignalScroll. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to be bound by them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

1. The service

SignalScroll is an iOS application that generates AI-powered learning feeds and saves user-curated content. The app is operated by Kopare ("we", "our", "us"). Throughout these Terms, "you" means the person using SignalScroll on a device they own or control.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use SignalScroll. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the app only with permission from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.

3. License to use the app

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use SignalScroll on Apple-branded devices you own or control, solely for your own personal, non-commercial use. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except where applicable law permits despite this restriction.

5. SignalScroll+ subscription

How it works

SignalScroll+ is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks unlimited topics, unlimited depth, the Stay Current live-web mode, and unlimited saved scrolls. The free tier remains usable without a subscription.

Price and billing

SignalScroll+ is offered at $7.99 USD per month (Apple Tier 8 — local prices may vary by currency). Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.

Auto-renewal

Your subscription automatically renews at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Managing or canceling

You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iOS device. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Any unused portion of a free trial (if offered) is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's policies. We do not process refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Price changes

If we change the price of an active subscription, Apple will notify you in advance and you will be asked to confirm the new price before it takes effect. You can cancel before the change instead of accepting it.

6. Your content

SignalScroll lets you submit topics and save cards and scrolls. You retain all rights you already had in that content. By submitting topics, you grant us a limited license to process them through our backend and AI providers solely to generate and deliver the feed back to you.

You are responsible for the topics you submit. Don't submit confidential information, personal data about other people, or content you don't have the right to use.

7. AI-generated output

Feed cards are generated by third-party AI models. AI can be wrong, outdated, or biased. Do not rely on SignalScroll output for medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice. Treat the feed as a starting point for your own thinking, not a finished answer.

Output similar or identical to yours may be produced for other users. You do not have exclusivity over generated content.

8. Stay Current and live web content

If you enable Stay Current, generated cards may incorporate information from third-party websites returned by a web search provider. We do not control and are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or availability of third-party web content.

9. Intellectual property

The SignalScroll app, its visual design, brand, and all underlying software are owned by Kopare and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the app to you.

10. Termination

You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account by contacting support@kopare.app. We can suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the app in a way that may cause harm to us, other users, or third parties. Termination does not affect rights or obligations that accrued before it.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

SIGNALSCROLL IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY OF AI-GENERATED CONTENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KOPARE AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID FOR SIGNALSCROLL+ IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR (B) USD $50.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kopare and its affiliates from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of SignalScroll or violation of these Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally must be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

15. Apple-specific terms

The following section applies because SignalScroll is licensed through the Apple App Store. In the event of any conflict between this section and the rest of these Terms, this section controls for App Store users.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be surfaced in-app on next launch and the effective date above will be updated. Continued use of the app after the change constitutes acceptance.
